Scared to try again?

Disappointments always leave a sour taste to our desire to try again. Sometimes we convince ourselves that our apathy is us trusting God, but is it really? Have we just found a way to distance ourselves from it so it does not hurt as much if it doesn't happen? God calls us to deal with situations like this as people with hope and in this episode, we have a heart-to-heart for people scared to try again. Glory always ends our story.

Society has a way of convincing us that singleness is a disease and that when we get to a certain age still single, something must be wrong with us. This is not always the case and in this episode, we discuss points on navigating singleness without caving in to the voice of society, or losing ourselves in a bid to be married.

In this episode, we explore a question I was asked a year ago. For people who did not grow up in homes filled with love, how can you ensure that the trauma you experienced is not spilling out to other aspects of your adult life? We consider key points to note on the journey of healing from trauma and choosing a better you.

There is always a how with God. It is not enough that we worship Him, but how do we worship Him? It is not enough that we serve Him, but how to we serve Him? We can do the most sincere things but in a wrong way. Remember the sons of Aaron who died because they sacrificed 'strange fires' to God. They sacrificed, but not in the way God desired. How we do things matters to God, and in this episode, we explore the how to wait on God.

We are getting to the middle of the year so quickly. The gnawing feeling in your heart and the loud voice in your head might start to creep up, asking you 'what have we even accomplished?' The tendency that you'll start to feel low is high, so here is an episode to arm you in advance of those days and seasons when life might feel larger than you. We are more than our achievements and accomplishments. We are more than what we do.

Gone are the days where friendships were characterized of sleepovers, all day conversations and shoulder-hitting laughter. It has not been eliminated, but it definitely is more controlled with the responsibilities that have come with adulthood. We do not have to kiss those good days of friendship goodbye, we only need to learn to navigate handling it in spite of the demands of adulthood.
