If you've ever told yourself "I can't negotiate this contract, I just have to sign it," read this.
That belief is the single most expensive thing in your business.
The biggest subs in your trade negotiate every contract. Not because they're difficult. Because they know the margin lives in post-award and the contract is what protects it. Signing without pushing back doesn't make you easy to work with. It makes you look like you don't know the game.
