Lalla Coulibaly created DABA for herself, and found that there was a desperate need in the market for just such a platform: a network of approved, accessible haircare providers for curly/textured hair in Norway. She shares some of the personal motivations & obstacles, and the powerful impact it has had on a large population of people who are under-represented in the industry. The industry too benefits of her platform as they amend their practices to become more inclusive and attract a new client base.

With her work at WADI, she has helped intercept many attempts to exploit vulnerable refugees in the confusion of the unregulated aid process, with some brazen criminals masquerading as private citizens providing needed aid.
