Honestly, it is a happy ending. It’s easy to recognize when you aren’t having fun and try to figure out a way to make it better. The DM being stubborn and refusing to see how the changes to the games system would kill any enjoyment for playing a caster is wild. Who would enjoy taking a turn just to fail repeatedly? You might be asking yourself…what is the difference between a daemon and a demon. Well, according to my research, The essential difference between a "daemon" and a "demon" is that a daemon is any spirit, good or bad, including the spirit of a living human, while a demon is exclusively a bad spirit. A daemon can also be controlled if you know the daemon’s name which according to other folklore is also applicable to demons.
