
Sam Clements is curating a fictional film festival. He'll accept almost anything, but the movie must not be longer than 90 minutes. This is the 90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest podcast.
In episode 155 Sam is joined by filmmaker Ira Sachs and actor Ben Whishaw. Their new movie, Peter Hujar's Day, also starring Rebecca Hall, in is UK cinemas from 2 Jan 2026.
Ira and Ben have chosen Repeated Absences [Absences répétées] (78 mins). Written and directed by Guy Gilles, the 1972 film stars Patrick Jouané, Danièle Delorme, Yves Robert, and Nathalie Delon.
Sam, Ira and Ben discuss Ben and Ira's ongoing collaboration, discovering Linda Rosenkrantz's book on Peter Hujar, and the underseen work of Guy Gilles.
