Waffle On about Commando Hello and welcome to this months edition of waffle on, can you believe we are a quarter of the way through celebrating 1985. Crazy.   Anyway what do we have in store well of course you know the picture of big Arnie gives it away, yes it’s Commando. We thought we’d bring you a classic popcorn movie involving muscles, guns, muscles, blood, muscles, soft ice cream eating, a rocket launcher and… muscles.   As usual please do share our little show.

Waffle On about To Live and Die in L.A Its another episode celebrating 1985 and Meds and Kell are divided in opinion with this film. One loves it, the other finds it adiquately amusing, can you guess who??? It does have a cracking soundtrack and brilliant perormances from Willem Dafoe and William Peterson.  Hope you enjoy it, as usual please do share the podcast it really does help.   

Waffle On about A View To A Kill Hello and welocme to part 2 of 12 celebrating 1985. On this episode we are very lucky to be joined by regular guest host Mr Peter Coleman. He adores this movie, and so does Meds. Kell however has other feelings.  Roger Moore stars in his final adventure in the tux, he looks a bit ropey bless him but we love the old spy and he bows out with some dubious stuntmen and some even more dubious face lifts. Waffle On about National lampoons European Vacation Hello and welcome to January 2024 and the first epiosde of twelve waffling on about 1985. Yes this was the year that Meds and Kell met and wow, what a year for films. We start of with a Chevy Chase film, we loved it as kids but do we love it now??? only one way to find out and thats to listen.  We are very proud that our podcast is fifteen years old this month and we thank you all for staying with us and listening. Waffle On about The Golden Voyage of Sinbad Its Christmas time and its part 12 of 12 celebrating 1973.  What a film to end on, this classic was always shown (here in the UK) either on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day. Its a bit dubious in parts in todays standards which is why it doesnt get shown much nowadays which is a shame. The Last Detail Its part 11 of 12 celebrating 1973 and we have good old Jack Nicholson to smile and raise an eyebrow through the whole of this episode. Yes its the 1973 film The Last Detail also starring a very youn (and sane) Randy Quaid and Otis Young.  The film is a journey from Navy base to Navy prison as Signalman 1st Class Billy Buddusky and Gunners mate 1st Class Richard Mulhall escort young prisoner seaman Laurence Meadows to his final destination (well for 8 years) due to him attempting to steal $40. Its a cracker of a fim, full of fun, bit of gore and of course Vincent Prices excellent voice.
