27-year-old Dayton Webber had his first court appearance after police say he shot and killed his friend and passenger while driving. The excitement begins this morning as massive preparations are underway for four Astronauts to blast off this evening from Kennedy Space Center.  Artemis II will loop around the Earth and Moon on a 10 day mission that will take astronauts deeper into space than any human has been before.  It’s been more than 50 years since astronauts have launched toward the moon and there are several firsts on the mission.  This will be the first time a black and a female astronaut travel around the moon and the first time this spacecraft has taken humans into space.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The first female in more than 200 years set to be executed in the state of Tennessee, is fighting to stay alive. 50-year-old Christa Gail Pike is scheduled to die by lethal injection Sept 30th of this year. Her attorneys have filed a lawsuit to try and stop the execution, saying it violates both her constitutional rights and religious beliefs.
