The Nobel Committee passed over President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday despite brokering eight different peace treaties his first year back in office, and it’s only October. President Trump has brokered eight different peace treaties in 2025. He is even credited with the peace agreement between Israel and Hamas that will go into effect this weekend. Layoffs of federal employees officially began Friday as the U.S. government shutdown entered another tense phase, according to Trump administration budget chief Russell Vought.
