Karmelo Anthony, the 17-year-old accused of fatally stabbing another student at a high school track meet in Frisco earlier this month, was released from jail Monday after his bond was significantly lowered. A $337.4 billion state spending plan that funnels money to schools, the border, health services and other state needs for the next two years was approved by the Texas House early Friday morning after a day-long debate.
