Undertaking a systematic study of such a broad subject can be daunting, unless a few things are kept in mind, which will in turn make everything fall into place! Definitions, definitions, definitions! What is amillennialism? What is the church age? Why is the pre-trib rapture the most solid from a biblical standpoint - types and pictures are found in the Scriptures. What was Jesus saying to the 7 churches? If we interpret prophecy from a futurist perspective, it really weaves together beautifully, but if the approach is one of past fulfillment of Revelation, we hit numerous snags that proponents of these alt views never seem to be able to resolve. Dr. JB Hixson Mary welcomes back JB Hixson on this Good Friday to talk about the importance of clinging to the cross in living out our day to day faith. When Jesus gave up His spirit, the veil in the temple was torn in two. This was no window curtain, it was at least 60 feet high and 4" thick - and separated the common area of the Temple from the Holy of Holies accessible only by the High Priest. The symbolism is simple: through the rending of the flesh of our Saviour, we now have access by grace to God through Jesus. What a glorious truth. This also means that we can not rely on ritual, tradition, or works to draw near to God, we are now bondsmen of Christ. So, once we understand that, what would the life of the believer look like? What should the church look like not just in our day to day service to God but corporately? Has the church become distracted by far too many bells, whistles, and sound systems? Are we still connected to the Head? The daily life of confession, repentance, cleansing and faith, minus any righteousness of our own is truly the only way to the fruitful Christian life. We will look at those 2 disciples, returning home after a grueling week in Jerusalem of crowds and events - Passover, the trial of Jesus, the crucifixion, the resurrection. What to make of it all? What a weekend - and now they are processing as they walk along. Then a stranger joins them, and asks why they are cast down and sad as they walk, and they respond incredulously - where were You when all this took place? Are you unaware of what has all transpired? And without recognizing their Saviour, they are treated to the most incredible Bible study ever, from the Master Himself. Wouldn't it have been incredible to be a part of that? Then we go back in time a bit and discuss Palm Sunday, and the most amazing prophecy of all - Daniel 9. Finally, we look at why Jesus had to be crucified instead of stoned. Antisemitism continues on in public events, in this case, an event at Princeton. Who will ensure that someone is accountable for this latest mess? There wasn't even a school ID necessary, probably because that leaves the door open for paid actors to come in and rile everyone up. Also on the agenda: China rare earth elements, and why the US has to care about that; and the latest on Smart Cities for Dummies. What the globalists think is important; ie, what they can get away with, never ceases to amaze. One has to wonder what globalists like Klaus Schwab think of Islam because they might get overridden by that global agenda. Interesting times indeed.
