This episode has (mostly) all the details about the 47th Annual Ashland Railroad Runs! The annual event was a success and raises money for the programs at the Hanover Arts and Activities Center in Ashland, Virginia. The name of the race has evolved and so have the variety of participants. A few glitches happened but it seemed most everyone had a good time.  Also, have you ever met anyone famous? Week 12 on into race day is over! I ran the River City Half Marathon in Richmond Va on 3-7-2026 and had a great time. It was the first Sportsbackers race I did with my daughter who has now completed 2 half marathons. I think I've done 20 or 30, I'm not sure. The Ashland Railroad 'Rails and Trails' 10k is Saturday, March 21, 2026. In the spirit of the upcoming race, I decided to dig into the podcast archives and pull out an old show about the same event.
