Minnesotans who lost homes to tax forfeiture may be compensated

Minnesotans who lost a home for failing to pay property taxes in the past few years could be entitled to compensation. A statewide legal settlement provides more than $100 million for former homeowners who lost out on equity after their property was sold for more than they owed in taxes and fees.


And Minneapolis police say they misidentified a man accused of pistol whipping two residents of a north Minneapolis shelter. The Hennepin County Attorney's Office says investigators informed prosecutors of the error immediately.
