temps have been in the 90s here with high humiity, and it feels like we're back at the worst conditions of the summer. are we doing ok?

actually made it a good way through The Norwegian Method Applied book over the weekend - a book i'm reading a physical and not an audio version. my main takeaway is that there sure was a lot of reference to running 6x6. the second takeaway is that i think i need to do a proper lactate test

we've had a really nice week or so of cool morning temps that have been very nice for running. but now, it seems like summer is heating back up. today, i've got some shoes to unbox (i think they've not under embargo). plus, some running books!

I ran in the Tyr Valkyrie Elite 2 over the weekend - it's amazing. I tried the Craft Astmosfar this morning - I'm shocked at how much I like it.Last month, we were talking about the Topo Specter 3 and Specter Elite. Amazing shoes from brands that typically get ignored. But these just might be some of the best shoes to hit the US market in 2026. (no worries, I still love Hyperboost Edge and Deviate Pure)

both my kids are back in school already. it's finally cool enough that i can run with a singlet (rather than going without a shirt). this means i should be getting faster now, right?

it was 80 degrees with 84% humidity at 7am this morning. the humidity was so thick, it was foggy. i know this is normal for summer around here, but i still don't like it
