A federal judge in Arizona has rejected Mark Meadows' attempt to have his criminal case moved from Arizona state court to federal court, ruling that the things Meadows did with, at the direction of, and for the benefit of Donald Trump in tying to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election - didn't constitute part of his official duties as Trump's Chief of Staff. Rudy Giuliani has failed in court yet again - this time in spectacular fashion. Giuliani had filed a lawsuit claiming President Joe Biden had defamed him in a 2020 presidential debate. Yet, after Biden's lawyer objected to Rudy's failure to prove personal jurisdiction to bring the lawsuit, Rudy "failed to object to the motion." Donald Trump is being prosecuted for (among other things) lying to his supporters about stolen votes and rigged elections. He whipped them up into a frenzy and then he told them to go to the US Capitol and stop the certification of a presidential election. Put another way, Trump intentionally lies to incite violence. It seems there's hardly a court case Donald Trump can't lose. The highest appeals court in New York has rejected Trump's attempt to get the existing gag order in his New York criminal case lifted. The appeals court rejected Trump's arguments and left the gag order in place while Trump's case is pending sentencing. The more JD Vance talks, the clearer it becomes that he's one of history's worst VP candidates. Judge Tanya Chutkan ordered that Jack Smith file a brief on September 26th disclosing all of Donald Trump's acts on and around January 6th so she can litigate which of Trump's crimes and acts might be official presidential acts and which are not. And there was a remarkable statement made by Trump's attorney at the court hearing that Justice Clarence Thomas "directed" them to raise the issue of the legality of the appointment of special counsel and "suggested" they do it immediately. The first hearing in DC federal court in Donald Trump's 2020 election subversion case since the Supreme Court handed down its presidential immunity ruling has finally happened.
