The areas the enemy comes in to control, manipulate and infiltrate, and my own testimony of deliverance from a lifetime battle with the spirit of anger. This a controversial topic, and I’m not sharing to start a debate, I'm far from an expert in deliverance, but hear me out before you jump into the comment section to disagree! In this fourth episode of I USED to be a Psychic Podcast, I interview Author, Blogger and Speaker Holly Pivec about the dangers of the New Apostolic Reformation and her most recent book “Counterfeit Kingdom” coauthored by Doug Geivett.    NAR churches, like Bethel in Redding California, incorporate many New Age practices and beliefs into their theology, sprinkling just enough truth to give the illusion of biblical accuracy.  Holly and Doug’s book shines light on this deception, and helps to educate and equip Christian’s to be discerning when it comes to their beliefs; to base them on biblical truth rather than on experiences and new revelations given by the “Apostles & Prophets” that govern these churches.    As someone who was saved from the New Age, this topic hits close to home, thankfully my experience in the occult helped me to recognized these red flags within Bethel very early on in my walk with Christ. It was a blessing when I found out others had the same concerns and when reading Counterfeit Kingdom all of my convictions on the subject were confirmed.    This isn’t something we should turn a blind eye to as Christians! On top of NAR churches distorting The Gospel through unbiblical teachings, the Bethel Supernatural School of Ministry (BSSM) teaches very clear divination methods that look almost identical to the “Psychic Development” classes I taught in the New Age. To name a few, they practice necromancy(mediumship), grave soaking(believing they can absorb a deceased persons spiritual gifts from laying on their grave), and teach that one much receive a spiritual “activation” to receive the ability to prophesy.     The Bible is clear that any form of divination is against God, something we should be adhering to in the body of Christ. In this third episode of I USED to be a Psychic Podcast, I interview a dear sister in Christ Jessica Torres. Once heavily involved in new age occultism, she ran a 6 figure business as a "Sacred Sexuality Coach" and regularly practiced divine feminine goddess worship, manifestation, sex magic, and blood rituals just to name a few.  In this interview, we chat about how she became involved in the new age to begin with, the dangers of these practices, as well as some of the parallels of our stories. In this second episode of I USED to be a Psychic Podcast, I vulnerably share part two of my new age to Jesus testimony, diving into more details about how I became possessed to begin with, as well as how I was delivered from demonic possession, the Lord truly works all things for good!  It has been such an incredible 8 months since the Holy Spirit unveiled my eyes to the truth behind the new age deception I was caught up in, but spiritual warfare is VERY real and overcoming the enemy hasn't been an easy journey. Praise God for His spiritual Armour (Ephesians 6:10-12), and for the strength he has given me through my dedicated prayer life and time in the Word. All glory goes to our Heavenly Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and the loving Grace provided to us through Christ Jesus. The Lord has truly worked nothing short of a miracle on my life and my husbands as well, and I pray this testimony can help others who may be struggling to get free from the grasp of the enemy, and the deception filled world of the new age.
