Revered as a translator of the Bible into English (1526), William Tyndale (1494-1536) was a biblical scholar and linguist who became a leading figure in the Protestant Reformation in the years leading up to his execution for heresy. Over 90% of the King James Bible consist of his translated words that later influenced the trajectory of Christianity in the New World. E172.
