So very sad to read about the passing of William Orbit, it’s hit me really hard! A true pioneering music maestro of our time. His career spanned four decades and he sold over 200 million recordings worldwide. Apart from his groundbreaking “genius” work with Madonna on her Ray of Light, Music, and MDNA albums, for me his “Adagio for Strings” is an incredible masterpiece.But to pay tribute to his legacy of work, hear THIS, his unreleased “Ray of Light” collab with the Queen of Pop, the EPIC 12-minute Atmos Mix, which includes “Bank of Wildflowers” by Georgia Barnes. New Magic remix. Moby's "When It's Cold I'd Like to Die" was first released in March 1995 from his third album “Everything Is Wrong”. It signifies a desire for quiet refuge from a loud, demanding world, expressing deep weariness and longing for peace, often interpreted as wanting to "die" metaphorically from sensory overload or emotional struggle, famously used in “Stranger Things” during moments of near-death or profound loss for characters like Will and Max, making the lyrics resonate with survival and survival's aftermath. The phrase captures a feeling of being overwhelmed, where the coldness of winter mirrors an internal coldness, prompting a wish to simply cease struggling against the "tide". With these current feelings in my heart, being a massive fan of “Stranger Things”, and the passing of my bestie recently, feel this, my Magic Remix, so enjoy!
