In this rich conversation, poet-chaplain David Tensen and Catherine explore what true eldering looks like in an age hungry for maturity, belonging, and wisdom. David encourages mature believers to embrace the challenge of authentic eldering through intentional decentering. This means decentering anything that demands center-stage - including ourselves, the ways we see God, the need to be constantly heard, our knowledge, denial of death, and materialism. David names the ache of a lack of eldering for so many, especially in the west. We’ve become long-lived, prosperous, information saturated, yet elder-poor.
