Bus driver Ross Munns has disputed Virginia Giuffre's account of the March 24, 2025, collision in Neergabby, Western Australia. Munns stated that he was overtaking a slow-moving Toyota Highlander when it unexpectedly turned in front of him, resulting in a minor collision that damaged the car's tail light. He emphasized that he was traveling below 75 km/h, contrary to Giuffre's claim that the bus was moving at 110 km/h. After ensuring the 71-year-old driver was unharmed, they exchanged details, and both vehicles departed the scene. Munns reported the incident to the police the following day, describing it as minor.

Munns expressed surprise upon seeing Giuffre's subsequent Instagram post, which depicted her with facial bruises and stated she was in renal failure with only four days to live. He questioned the severity of her injuries, asserting that such harm could not have resulted from the minor collision. Western Australia Police corroborated Munns' account, classifying the incident as minor with no reported injuries and approximately $2,000 in vehicle damage.
