Passengers Stop Midair Middle East Terrorist Attack, Plane Plunged 17,000 Feet

Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they dive into breaking news about an apparent terrorist attack by a pilot on a plane with many Israeli passengers, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) endorsing Democrats in the midterm elections, Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt stumbling badly in his questioning of former Special Counsel Jack Smith, and the latest intensely negative ads.First, they discuss the breaking news of a FlyDubai flight that nearly crashed after a co-pilot allegedly stabbed the pilot and sent the plane into a dive before he was subdued by passengers, many of whom were Israeli. Next, they have fun with the IRGC telling Americans to vote for Democrats. It also lies about the Iranian nuclear program and whines about being on the U.S. list of terrorist organizations. Jim says this would not be the first time terrorists or their sponsors injected themselves into a U.S. election. Then, they cringe as Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt's efforts to link former Special Counsel Jack Smith to the Trump probe in Fulton County, Georgia, fall apart when he (or his staff) confuse the Atlanta Hawks with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Jim and Greg also address the Senate Judiciary Committee revealing the Smith probe collected communications from reporters of many different media organizations. Finally, they have more fun with the fierce attack ads against the Bears and Jets heading into Sunday's game. Please visit our great sponsors:Trees.comGet additional 20% better plants and better growing at Trees.dom using code MARTINI at checkout.Visit https://Trees.com  Now’s the perfect time to plant - let’s grow together.Human CoalitionIt only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment. Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into Texas U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico grossly twisting scripture on health policy and more, new research showing that social media short videos are damaging our brains, the holdout Clancy juror speaking out for the first time, and the latest vicious attack ads.First, they're disgusted by Talarico saying that Jesus Christ didn't charge people for healing them so somehow it's bad for doctors to do it. Jim and Greg correct Talarico on scripture and policy, but Jim warns Republicans about what he learned on his recent trip to Texas.Next, they react to new research showing that short videos on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube shorts are damaging our brains and especially our memories. Jim discusses the value of sustained focus on tasks and Greg condemns the algorithms and our inability to put the phones down. Then, they applaud the holdout Clancy juror for speaking out and keeping the focus on the three small victims in the case instead of their murderer. However, they also hope he recedes from public view and is able to enjoy a normal life away from media scrutiny. Jim has a blunt message for the other jurors too. Finally, Jim and Greg assess the latest attack ads against the Bears and Jets heading into Sunday's game.Human Coalition It only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment. Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss authorities in the UK foiling what appears to be an attempted terrorist attack against a military base where the U.S. also operates, fewer items being being locked up in D.C. stores as crime rates fall, the Trump ads paid for with your tax dollars, and some vicious attack ads starting ahead of one of the year's most important contests.First, they dig into what appears to be a thwarted terrorist attack at RAF Fairford. They explain the prominent U.S. presence at the base and Jim says the longer British authorities don't give us many details, the more the rest of us will assume the missing information.Next, they're glad to see indications of crime dropping in the nation's capital as more store owners are locking up fewer toiletries and candies to prevent shoplifting. It's a baby step but it's also an ongoing sign that crime rates have dropped considerably since the Trump administration intervened last year. Then, they are not happy to see their tax dollars being spent on political ads for President Trump. Jiim and Greg say anything that looks and sounds like a political ad should be paid with campaign funds. Jim also details why he doesn't think the ads come across well.Lastly, Jim and Greg are caught in the crossfire as aggressive attack ads about Sunday's Bears vs. Jets game start running on the podcast. Please visit our great sponsors:Human Coalition It only takes a monthly donation of $26 to create a life-saving moment. Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week, they discuss a new poll of Democrats showing way too many lefties would be happy if President Trump died or was removed in a military coup, the Trump administration rooting out many hundreds of thousands of fraudulent Obamacare enrollees, 1619 Project author Nikole Hannah-Jones confesing her rigid ideology forced her child to spend a decade in failing public schools, and the Wisconsin Democrats' gubernatorial candidate complaining about the "systemic racism and injustice" of beer gardens.First, they're disturbed by a new poll of Democrats showing a majority would like to see President Trump die in his sleep or be removed by a military coup. A third would be happy to see Trump assassinated. Jim also notes the huge chunk of lefties who say they wouldn't care either way if those things happened.Next, they applaud the Trump administration for finding and removing more than 750,000 fraudulent Obamacare enrollees, many of whom are not even real people. So far, it's $2.2 billion in fraud, and Vice President Vance says hundreds of thousands more may be removed soon. Greg suspects we're still just scratching the surface on fraud. Then, they react to Hannah-Jones expressing regret for sending her daughter to lousy schools to make a social and cultural point and how angry her daughter is about that. Jim and Greg are glad she admitting all this but the column also suggests she hasn't learned some of the most important lessons from this. Finally, just a few years ago, Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial nominee David Crowley, said that because golf courses, marinas, and beer garden are most often frequented by white people,  systemic racism and injustice are to blame for that. Please visit our great sponsors:BetterHelpSign up and get 10% off at http://BetterHelp.com/3ML and start feeling better.New episodes every weekday. 👉 Subscribe to the show so you never miss a moment.Follow us for more daily clips, updates, and commentary:FacebookInstagramYoutubeOther InfoWebsite

Join Charlie Cooke and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they assess Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismantling accusations of Israel committing genocide in Gaza, Barack Obama wanting to create new rules for a "common discourse" in America, more evidence of the evils of cashless bail, and the big debate over bringing coffee to a job interview.First, they applaud Prime Minister Netanyahu's efforts to set the record straight on why genocide accusations against Israel are absurd. It's a convincing case, but Charlie explains why it won't convince many people who already think it's true.Next, they want nothing to do with former President Barack Obama's call for new town squares and new rules for our common political discourse. Charlie and Greg have seen this move from the left before and have a pretty good idea of the disturbing agenda Obama has in mind. Then, they sigh as a prominent Pittsburgh-area doctor is murdered in his own home by a criminal who was allowed out of jail on a "nonmonetary bond" for another felony. Charlie and Greg discuss the insanity of no-cash bail and how the left refuses to understand the concept of preventable crimes. Finally, they weigh in on the generational debate of the week about whether it's OK for Gen Z job applicants to bring coffee to job interviews.Charlie Cooke, Senior Editor of National Review Online and host of the Charles C.W. Join Charlie Cooke and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they focus on Argentinian President Javier Milei ripping the United Nations for its radical policies and for coddling the evil nations of the world, Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed lying about his position on government-run health care, Hasan Piker wanting a communist China-style cultural revolution, and Kamala Harris going back on the campaign trail with the same incoherent rhetoric.First, they cheer President Milei for calling the United Nations a "useless organization" maintained by "fatally arrogant parasites masquerading as well-intentioned bureaucrats." He also blasted the UN for protecting "bloodthirsty dictatorships" and much more. Charlie explains why Milei is right and why the UN is irretrievably flawed.Next, they highlight Abdul El-Sayed suddenly saying he is fine if people want to keep their private health insurance after months of saying he wants "Medicare for All" specifically because it will end private coverage. But Charlie also points out why our health care system is doomed even if El-Sayed is telling the truth now. Then, they react to that "Twitch streamer from California" Hasan Piker ranting about Democrats by saying he wants to put some of them in prison and institute a cultural revolution. Charlle and Greg discuss how radical Piker is but also how Piker is evidence of just how extreme mainstream Democrats have become. Finally, they get a kick out of Kamala Harris and her latest word salad as she hits the campaign trail for El-Sayed. Charlie offers some insights into the left's warped thinking and how that contributes to the nonsense we routinely get from Harris.Charlie Cooke, Senior Editor of National Review Online and host of the Charles C.W. Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they dig into the Trump administration rooting out many hundreds of thousands of fraudulent Obamacare enrollees, polls showing that Republicans' congressional redistricting efforts may backfire this year, The View Co-Host Sunny Hostin's deeply disturbing story from her time as a juror in a murder trial, and the Wisconsin Democrats' gubernatorial candidate complaining about the "systemic racism and injustice" of beer gardens.First, they applaud the Trump administration for finding and removing more than 750,000 fraudulent Obamacare enrollees, many of whom are not even real people. So far, it's $2.2 billion in fraud, and Vice President Vance says hundreds of thousands more may be removed soon. Greg suspects we're still just scratching the surface on fraud.Next, they wince at polling numbers from the New York Times that shows several congressional districts in Florida and Texas shifting heavily to the left after they went deep red in 2024. Jim and Greg point out polling has been iffy this cycle, but if the numbers are even close, the mid-decade redistricting may hurt Republicans this year. Then, they're horrified as Sunny Hostin explains how she was the holdout juror in a truly twisted and grisly murder case decades ago. And she's still proud of leading the jury away from a guilty verdict and finding the defendant not guilty by reason of insanity.

Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they react to a new poll of Democrats showing way too many lefties would be happy if President Trump died or was removed in a military coup, the strangely chummy relationship between Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, the latest bizarre twists in the Nikole Hannah-Jones saga with NYC schools, and new attempts at major fraud in Minnesota.First, they're disturbed by a new poll of Democrats showing a majority would like to see President Trump die in his sleep or be removed by a military coup. A third would be happy to see Trump assassinated. Jim also notes the huge chunk of lefties who say they wouldn't care either way if those things happened.Next, they scratch their heads after another oddly friendly meeting between Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. What benefit does Trump see in that considering how often he bashes other Democrats? Jim also explains why the timing of Monday's meeting was not ideal for New York Republicans. Then, they highlight a couple more ironic elements of the Nikole Hannah-Jones story involving NYC schools, including her husband's role with the school system and the arrogrant comment that Hannah-Jones could get any problems fixed because she wrote for the New York Times. Finally, they discuss the latest attempt at rampant fraud in Minnesota - this time for money designated for businesses impacted by ICE operations earlier this year.

Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss 1619 Project author Nikole Hannah-Jones confesing her rigid ideology forced her child to spend a decade in failing public schools, Venezuela moving hundreds of billions in gold from the UK to the U.S., Massachusetts planning to send people to new moms to make an "assessment." and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker revealing he's dropped 80 pounds ahead of a planned 2028 presidential campaign.First, they react to Hannah-Jones expressing regret for sending her daughter to lousy schools to make a social and cultural point and how angry her daughter is about that. Jim and Greg are glad she admitting all this but the column also suggests she hasn't learned some of the most important lessons from this.Next, they weigh in on Venezuela moving approximately $900 billion from London to be kept in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in Manhattan. Jim explains why this matters for us and, maybe, the people of Venezuela. Then, they recoil at a new program in Massachusetts that Gov. Maura Healey describes as a state-sponsored visit to the home of every new mom so that an "assessment" can be made. Supposedly, this program is voluntary. If it is, Jim and Greg still don't like it. If it's mandatory, they see huge constitutional issues with this. Finally, they react to Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker announcing he has lost 80 pounds through GLP-1 meds. Jim and Greg quickly deduce Pritzker is all in for 2028.Please visit our great sponsors:BetterHelpSign up and get 10% off at http://BetterHelp.com/3ML and start feeling better.New episodes every weekday. 👉 Subscribe to the show so you never miss a moment.Follow us for more daily clips, updates, and commentary:FacebookInstagramYoutubeOther InfoWebsite

Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week, they discuss Virginia paroling felons at a much higher rate since the Democrats took over this year, the New York Times having to issue an embarrassing correction about the terrorist attacks against Israel, Illinois Democrats trying to put gunmakers on the hook for gun deaths and injuries, and Sen. Mitch McConnell proving he's no longer up to the job.First, they vent over the Virginia Parole Board appointed by Democrat Gov. Abigail Spanberger granting parole to convicted felons - some of them violent criminals - at an exponentially higher pace than the board serving under recent GOP Gov. Glenn Youngkin.Next, they vent as the New York Times publishes a story stating "Israelis still view themselves as the victims of Oct. 7." In addition to the obvious reaction, Jim explains the double standard that exists in how the Times treats writings from the left vs. the right. Then, Greg and guest host Scot Bertram fire back as Illinois Democrats try to put gunmakers on the hook for the costs related to murders and injuries connected with firearms. We'll explain what's really happening here and why the left's logic on this is badly flawed. Finally, they cringe as it's clear Sen. Mitch McConnell is deeply confused at best and clearly seems incapable of doing his job any longer. They discuss how unfair this lack of transparency by McConnell's staff is to his constituents and how Democratic Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear made this whole situation worse as well. Please visit our great sponsors:HomeServeProtect your home with HomeServe.  For 50% less your first year, go to https://HomeServe.com/Martini for the plan that’s right for you.
