    E165 Amy: Eat to win

    56:18

Amy Hamilton has always been an athlete. She's run both Boston and New York with times as fast as 2:57. After a health ordeal she was sidelined for the first time in her life. She returned to running and decided to take to the trails. She soon started to go after 100 mile races but couldn't figure out why she couldn't finish them. After multiple attempts, she finally started eating more and came out with a 1st place finish at Yeti 100.  For a backlog of episodes find us on Patreon HERE  Use discount code TRW at Naakbar.com for 15% of Naak Nutrition!  Simple Feast  a meal delivery service with certified organic, locally sourced plant-based meals. E162 Alicia: Say “yes” where others might say “no way”

    47:26

Alicia is not running for gold, but she could if she wanted to. Alicia finds comfort and relative discomfort blazing through the forest of the west coast and beyond. She runs with reckless abandon for costumes (brought on by an early figure skating career), reindeer games, grueling uphills, yam fries, planning her start-up, micro-breweries, testing her limits and to simply be able to say “yes” where others might say “no way”. She's currently expecting her first kiddo real soon! More from her at her blog : https://notrunningforgold.com/about/ Or on insta @funstimes.woodside More from me @hilsport55

E159 Katie S: The adventure expert

    56:09

Katie loves to run, ride, and row super long distances. She recently finished her latest run adventure - running 11 ultras in 11 days to raise funds for 11 clean water projects. She is also the youngest person in the world to row solo across the Atlantic, spending 70 days alone at sea. Before all of these adventures, she was told that "You don't look like I could do that" because she's not your typical rail-thin runner or athlete. https://www.katiespotz.com More from me @hilsport55 https://livlite.co  use discount code hilary20 for 20% off Groceries  - delivered for free to North Van or Vancouver with zero waste!  Find the backlog of episodes at TRW PATREON
