If it’s essentially free for owners of huge catalogues of music to upload their files to someone else’s server, then they will – and smaller rightsholders like DIY artists and labels will be under increasing competition against an ever-increasing volume. Ep 141: Dmytro Lopushanskyy, CTO of AI-powered song analysis and discovery tool Harmix, joins Joe to explain how tools like his actually work, and how they can find overlooked songs that are buried deep in catalogues.
