He defines what that state is and why maintaining that emotional state at all times is an unrealistic and potentially unhealthy expectation.   Everyone feels a range of emotions, which is normal. These emotions exist and need to be addressed otherwise they will pop out uncontrolled. Understand what makes you react in a certain way in certain circumstances.
