#195 Breaking Down the Myths Around HPV with Dr. Doni

In this episode, I'm going to be talking about the HPV virus and how there is an increased risk of cervical cancer when exposed to narcissism or narcissistic abuse, such as gaslighting.  This is a really important topic, especially for women who are going through the process of having an abnormal pap smear and finding out that they're testing positive for the HPV virus, as well as for women who have maybe been dealing with HPV for years or even decades of their life. We want you to know that you don't have to be alone and you don't have to be suffering from recurrent procedures and fear and stress because of HPV, and that it is possible to heal and recover both from HPV and from narcissistic abuse. In this episode, I discuss cervical dysplasia, which is when there are abnormal cells on the cervix before it turns into cancer, specifically CIN 2 and 3. In this episode, I'm excited to introduce you to Dr. Jenny Tufenkian. She is a naturopathic physician from the Pacific Northwest but she's helping people around the world with fatigue and particularly with long COVID type fatigue symptoms. In this episode, I'm going to be talking about menstrual related health issues and how they're connected to testing positive for high-risk HPV virus strains.  This is a really important conversation because a lot of times when it comes to testing positive for the HPV virus, women are left with not enough information and their doctors are not providing that information. The doctors are doing what they're trained to do, which is important, to address abnormal cells.  What's happening, unfortunately, is women are left in a state of fear and not knowing what they can do to prevent abnormal cells caused by HPV and to prevent cancer in the long run. Women are also left not knowing what they can do about menstrual related symptoms other than take a birth control pill. In this episode I talk about the five ways that HPV and leaky gut are connected. It's not a well known connection, but it is essential to address leaky gut in order to clear HPV and protect yourself from high risk strains of HPV. I want to make sure you understand what leaky gut is and exactly the ways that it's making you susceptible to HPV and how we can then address it.  It’s important to address gut health to decrease HPV risk and prevent it from returning.
