The 2023 Progress Summit conference, happening March 8-10 in Ottawa, is an ambitious event bringing together hundreds of socialists, social democrats, leftists, NGOs, labour organizers and rank and file union members from around the country, featuring compelling speakers and big ideas from around the world.

The annual Summit is convened by the Broadbent Institute, an influential left-ish think tank that works on movement building around income inequality, a green economy and democratic renewal, creating a space for building stronger understanding and solidarity across a wide range of movements.

On Harbinger Society Presents episode 50 Broadbent Institute director Jen Hassum and director of policy and engagement Clement Nocos join host Andre Goulet to talk about why this year's Summit theme of ‘Stronger Together: Forging Unity in a Time of Division’ is strategically crucial for movement-building on the left.
