This guided Christian meditation on Psalm 27 declares that God is our light, salvation, and fortress. We will see God’s goodness in this life, so we do not need to be afraid.

Get your FREE Do Not Be Afraid Guided Meditation Journal here.

Psalm 27 invites us to shift our perspective from fear to trust as it reminds us that whatever we are afraid of cannot destroy us.

God holds our lives and our eternity secure in his hands.

And with our good God in control, we can be certain that we will see his goodness in this life—in the land of the living.

So, keep waiting on God. He’s working behind the scenes.

We have nothing to fear.

Find a quiet space, take a few deep breaths, and allow Jesus’ words to lead you to his peace.

The entire meditation text is as follows:

Psalm 27:1, 11-14. NLT

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—

so why should I be afraid?

The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,

so why should I tremble?

11 Teach me how to live, O Lord.

Lead me along the right path,

for my enemies are waiting for me.

12 Do not let me fall into their hands.

For they accuse me of things I’ve never done;

with every breath they threaten me with violence.

13 Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness

while I am here in the land of the living.

14 Wait patiently for the Lord.

Be brave and courageous.

Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
