So we’ve kind of come to the end of our treatment stories *cue the sadness and pleas for an encore* but the series isn’t quite over yet! It’s fair to say we were in very different stages of life when we were diagnosed, and we very much still are! So today we’re talking about life changes and future dreams. Today we’re in not so sunny Brighton talking reconstruction and unlike build a bear (is that still a thing?), you don’t get to browse the shelves for the cutest looking boob, there’s no soft heart that you kiss and put inside, and it’s certainly not a quick stuffing… But you can name it and keep it with you forever! No one really wants to think about dying but let’s be honest, we’re all going to die at some point and, having had cancer, it’s something we both think about on the reg. Honestly we’d do anything for attention. Sadly it’s considered weird if we take off all our clothes though… Today is a bit of a mish mash of topics that kind of relate but mainly we didn’t have enough to say to make them individual episodes which is shocking I know. We take a quick dip in the radiotherapy pool before plunging into hormone therapy and the medical menopause. The conclusion? We’d pay good money to go back to bleeding every month if it meant not being in the menopause. Oh how we miss periods. We really let our hair down with this episode and ‘baldly’ went where we’ve not gone before…ok enough with the cringe hair puns now. Hair loss is probably the thing that everyone associates with having chemotherapy and for us, and probably many others, it’s really when you start to look at yourself and think ‘shit, now I've definitely got cancer’.
