For this tasting video I was joined by the incomparable and fabulous ms. franky marshall. As a NYC-based modern bartender and Cognac educator she brought so much knowledge and expertise to this tasting. We talked about the rich history of Cognac, including how it's made and enjoyed, and what's happening in modern Cognac trends. Then we dove into tasting and comparing two tiny bottles - my grandma's bottle of 1970s Hennessy Cognac and a modern bottle. While they were both delicious, the older bottle had some really interesting aromas and flavors and a fascinating finish.
