Just got back from spectating and cheering at the New York Marathon 2024. AMA. I tell some stories from New York, and some new times to the Fastest Known Marathon sheet, and after some unboxings, I add some weights to the Shoe Weights sheet.

I've got three shoes to unbox from Brooks. Two that you can probably guess. The third is a surprise (it's not the Hyperion Elite proto, unfortunately). Today, I'm starting a new spreadsheet. I'll list a bunch of race shoes and we'll try to fill in what we think are the fastest known times that anyone has ever run in that shoe.

On today’s Bonus Episode, we have Lindsay Flanagan, who ran a marathon PB of 2:23:31 to finish as second American and ninth overall at the 2024 Chicago Marathon. For the first time in a long time, I spectated the Chicago Marathon instead of running it. I had an incredible time and collected a lot of stories.
