Retreat and Olympics Recap

This week, the girls are in Hamilton, Missouri celebrating Missouri Star Quilt Company's 16th Birthday! They have had a blast meeting quilters from across the world, attending fun events with the Doan family (including a parade) and shopping until they dropped. This week, the girls start shipping out quilt kits! Rochelle has finished the first two already and Leslie hasn't even starched. So, everyone gets the benefit of hearing about the learning moments from Rochelle! They are also preparing to go to Missouri for the Missouri Star Birthday Bash! 16 years of fun and pre-cuts! The girls will be in the parade on Wednesday, so if you're there come say hello. Rochelle talks about a new bag from Yazzi that she is enjoying. They give a quick book review of a book that they both have read recently. Rochelle also gives an update on some recent experiences with some vintage material. Color catchers are a must when it comes to washing things like this because of the dye they used back then. This week the girls do a retreat recap and talk about the Quilting Olympics. They started a new trend and now they are coming up with ways to dominate in the next Olympics! This week the girls are retreating together with 6 of their great friends at Osage Hills Retreat Center in Skiatook, Oklahoma! Rochelle gives an update on Quilt Nebraska and plans for Camp Rochelle Wanna Sew that is coming up in October. Rochelle travels to Tennessee and get to meet a couple of interesting fellas on the flight. The girls talk about some current events and their feelings about the inappropriate behavior (in a bad way) of our country's worst. We have to be better. We can be better.
