They talk about the effect of pain on ADHD and how ADHD's common manifestations (executive dysfunction, time perception, dopamine deficiency, lack of stimulus) can lead to a very different relationship with pain. DID YOU KNOW? Nearly three-quarters of adults with ADHD reported experiencing common, painful conditions such as headaches, back pain, and joint pain. Another study published in the Journal of Pain Research found that ADHD was more prevalent in patients with chronic pain. Additionally, a study published in PLOS One found that children and adolescents with chronic pain were more likely to have neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD.
