The Okavango River is pretty unique because it flows right into the Kalahari Desert, creating the lush Okavango Delta. Back in 1919, Boston got hit by a crazy disaster when a huge storage tank filled with molasses blew up, causing a sticky wave to flood the streets. This wave was 25 feet high and moved at 35 mph, smashing buildings and trapping people. It was like a real-life horror movie, with molasses everywhere, making rescue efforts super hard. The disaster ended up killing 21 people and injuring 150 others.
