Day 341 | Zechariah speaks with Angels and the Horsemen | 3 John: Follow righteousness
Day 341 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Zechariah 2-4, the prophet Zechariah shares visions he received from God. Zechariah 2 describes a man measuring Jerusalem, symbolizing God's promise to protect and bless the city. In Zechariah 3, Joshua the high priest is forgiven and clothed in clean garments, showing God's forgiveness and renewal. Zechariah 4 presents a vision of a golden lampstand and two olive trees, representing God's Spirit empowering Zerubbabel to rebuild the temple. These chapters teach about God's care, forgiveness, and the power of His Spirit to accomplish great things.
3 John 1:1-14 is a personal letter written by John, a leader in the early Christian church, to his friend Gaius. In this letter, John praises Gaius for being faithful and kind, especially to fellow Christians, even those he doesn't know. John also mentions a man named Diotrephes, who is causing problems in the church by refusing to welcome other believers and speaking against John. John encourages Gaius to keep doing good and not imitate bad examples like Diotrephes. The letter shows the importance of hospitality, supporting each other in the Christian community, and following good examples.
