274: How to keep yourself going when you want to quit

    20:16

Hey friends, thanks so much for tuning into the podcast and I’m going to keep it real with you today. I mean I always do but today I’m going to keep it really real. I have had moments where I want to quit on my big idea. There I said it. Hopefully this lets you know that if you have had the thought, even if you’ve fantasized about how much easier life would be if you just threw in the towel and you didn’t keep going on your big idea, you are not alone. This is something that I think if you asked any successful entrepreneur they have had moments where they thought about quitting. If you’ve had these moments the first thing to know is that it is not a sign that you should quit, that you should not keep going. But I also think that what you would find in common between the people who’ve achieved success in any way you measure success is that they have had those feelings but they kept going anyway. You’ll want to keep this episode as a pep talk to yourself when you feel like quitting.  In this episode we talk about: We feel like quitting most when we are getting outside of our comfort zone Cultivating belief in yourself Playing out the worst case scenario + the best case scenario Supporting yourself with the right kind of community Click HERE to text the word MENTOR to (602) 536-7829 for weekly business + mindset tips delivered straight to your phone! 273: Break up with burnout: goals, productivity and the myth of the multi-passionate with Tanya Dalton

    33:49

We are back to wrap up our Break up with Burnout series and I have THE perfect guest joining me today. Tanya Dalton is not only a best selling author, she has a brand new book coming out that we talk about in this episode, she’s a speaker and also a productivity expert. But I love the topic of her latest book On Purpose: The Busy Woman's Guide to an Extraordinary Life of Meaning and Success. This book really challenges a lot of the expectations and misconceptions of what a successful life even really looks like. This ties in so well to our burnout series because we talk about why it’s a myth to be multi-passionate and how a lot of times that leads to our own burnout. We talk about how goals really should look within the context of our business and it’s not the big overarching goals that inevitably lead to success but the small wins. This episode is so full of value to not only break up with burnout but prevent it all together. You’ll want to listen all the way to the end because we have a special surprise for you that may include winning a copy of Tanya’s new book!   Tanya Dalton is a best-selling author, speaker, and nationally recognized productivity expert. Tanya serves as a growth strategist for female leaders. Her highly anticipated second book, On Purpose: The Busy Woman’s Guide to an Extraordinary Life of Meaning and Success, will be on sale wherever books are sold on October 12, 2021. In addition to having her first book, The Joy of Missing Out, being named one of the Top 10 Business Books of the year by Fortune Magazine, Tanya’s podcast, The Intentional Advantage has received millions of downloads from listeners around the world. She is also a featured expert on several networks including NBC and Fox and is a VIP contributor for Entrepreneur.com. Tanya has been featured in some of the world’s leading publications including Forbes, Inc, Fast Company, and Real Simple. She has been awarded the elite Enterprising Women Award and has been named the Female Entrepreneur to Watch for the state of North Carolina. Tanya is also the founder and CEO of inkWELL Press Productivity Co. a multi-million dollar company providing tools that work as a catalyst in helping women do less while achieving maximum success. In this episode we talk about: The expectations we place on ourselves Pausing to ask yourself if what you’re doing is going to bring you to where you want to be The myth of the multi-passionate  What we get wrong about productivity    Click HERE to text the word MENTOR to (602) 536-7829 for weekly business + mindset tips delivered straight to your phone! 268: Are you speaking your dreams into life?

    22:32

I am really excited to have this conversation today about speaking your dreams into life. It is so important when taking action on your big ideas that you actually speak your dreams into life. It sounds so simple but the truth is if we’re not mindful we can unintentionally do the opposite or speak into life exactly what we don’t want to happen. Our words have tremendous power and even if our default thoughts are not in line with what we want we always have the power to make a different choice in what we’re choosing to focus on.  In this episode we talk about: Introducing yourself as the woman you WANT to be unintentionally downplaying your vision Your vision is not meant to be shared with everyone  Click HERE to text the word MENTOR to (602) 536-7829 for weekly business + mindset tips delivered straight to your phone!   Not part of the Girl Gang Community yet? 266: What it actually takes to build a scalable, successful, profitable business that sets you free with Candy Valentino

    45:15

It’s hard to even put into words the value of the conversation with my guest today. No matter where you are on your entrepreneurial journey Candy Valentino shares the real, behind the scenes, look at what it takes to build a profitable business and the tangible steps you need to take to scale. Whether it’s the power of keeping the promises we make to ourselves or creating leverage to stay in the game Candy breaks it all down today and I can’t wait for you to listen! Candy Valentino is originally from a small, rural north eastern town. Born to teenage parents, she started her multi-million dollar business at 19 years old with no degree, no corporate background, no money (and no internet). She successfully started, scaled, and successfully sold businesses in service, retail, e-commerce, and product manufacturing in addition to creating a vast real estate portfolio as a flipper and investor. At the age of 26, Candy founded a non-profit charity. Through her success in business, she bought and donated a building to the organization. Since then they have saved thousands of lives and later she expanded the mission by adding a second location and creating a 62 acre farm sanctuary. Candy has been actively involved for the last 15 years, personally raising millions for the charity. During her two plus decades as an entrepreneur she has been named to Top Business Leaders 40 Under 40, Top 50 Women In Business, 10 People Making a Difference, Top 10 Business Consultants by Yahoo Finance and was the youngest female to receive the Governor’s Award in Entrepreneurship in Pennsylvania. She’s been featured and interviewed in numerous TV, radio, magazine and newspaper articles – not only for business and entrepreneurship -- but for her advocacy, charity and philanthropic work – and was just named ‘Persons of Distinction’ for business in Arizona. Leveraging her 23 years of experience amassed from creating successful businesses in multiple industries, Candy created Founders Organization. With an unmatched business community, focus on business development and entrepreneur education, Founders Organization supports entrepreneurs in their pursuit of growth, scale and ease in their businesses. Created by actual founders and experienced entrepreneurs, it’s no wonder why they’ve been dubbed the “disrupter” of the business development space. In this episode we talk about: Starting with the end in mind Creating leverage so you won’t give up on your vision The power in the quality of your questions Playing the long game  Removing the emotion and focusing on the stats Click HERE to text the word MENTOR to (602) 536-7829 for weekly business + mindset tips delivered straight to your phone!   Not part of the Girl Gang Community yet?
