The Way to St James Cygnet is an annual Camino in Tasmania, Australia. The two-day pilgrimage is Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th of January 2025. I'll be there to walk, talk and sing.  The other great aspect of this unique pilgrimage is a Global Camino is being held in conjunction with the Tasmanian walk, where no matter where you are around the world, you're invited to walk with us. Thomas Hall's new book is Of Soul and Storm: the search for peace is a mysterious thing.  It's Thomas taking the reader through the story of his life, from childhood abuse to fear at every turn while working for the US Dept of Homeland Security. He found peace on the Camino and revels in joy he now feels. Mick Pope wrote to me to say he was once a 23 stone drunk. He made a decision more than 20 years ago to change his mind....and change his life. He's been dry ever since. Mick has just completed his tenth Camino - walking to celebrate the ability to do so after making the right decision to get sober. This is a great episode about overcoming incredible odds to create a new future, one full of joy and light.....and pilgrimage.

Czarina Deldio decided to walk the Camino after surviving breast cancer....and her parents decided to accompany her to Spain. At the very last moment, just as Czarina and her mother were due to begin, something extraordinary occurred that would change all their lives forever. This is an incredible episode, I hope you'll hear and experience the love a family can share and how the Camino is the perfect place to climb whatever Everest you feel you need to.

Dan's younger sister Amanda walked as part of the Magical Musical Camino in May '24. Amanda didn't feel like she 'got' the Camino, but maybe, just maybe by the end she'd learned to be a little kinder to herself and to worry less and to take the time to slow down. A beautiful message for all of us this week. Slow down, life races by too fast.

Sarah Daley is an American pilgrim who runs yoga retreats on the Camino. Sarah was recently in Sydney and dropped by my house for a chat around the kitchen bench. This is a great story of learning to let go, of overcoming hardship and letting the Camino guide you to a softer, gentler more meaningful life.
