Last night at Rogers Place, the Edmonton Oilers finished off the Los Angeles Kings to wrap up their first-round series in only five games. Over the past three years, this series went from taking seven games to six games down to five games to get through, and I felt that meant the need for a quick emergency podcast to discuss the win. What's funny to me about this year's series is that I actually think the Kings got worse with the PLD trade and how he was such a non-factor in the series that it must drive L.A. fans nuts.Either way, the Oilers are through to the second round, and now we have to wait and see who they get. Will it be the Canucks or the Predators? Currently, Vancouver leads that series 3-2, but that doesn't really seem like much of a lock, given how the rest of the games have played out. Could Nashville come back? Wednesday can only mean your third-favourite podcaster is back with a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never to discuss tonight's elimination game against the Kings and whatever else is going on in our lives. Kings and move on to the next round. While many of us believe tonight's game should be easy, watching both Vancouver and Boston fail to get the job done on Tuesday has me feeling otherwise.
