We Said Goodbye to Everything—Here’s What We Learned

Part 2 of 3: Join Riley and Jack as they continue sharing their unforgettable journey of serving as missionaries for eight months. In this episode, they recount a powerful day in Nicaragua when they witnessed Jesus perform miraculous healings on the lives of 40 people in just one day. They also reflect on their experiences growing in evangelism, from sharing the gospel at an eye clinic and a jail in Jamaica to connecting with people on the streets of Kenya. But missionary life isn't always as glamorous as it may seem—get an honest look at the challenges they faced, including food poisoning, emotional exhaustion, and even lice (yes, really!). Amidst it all, they explore the central question: despite the hardships, are we truly willing to pay the price to share the gospel?

Part 1 of 3: At the start of 2024, Riley and Jack sold everything, packed their bags, ended their lease, and said heartfelt goodbyes to friends and family to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Over the past 8 months, they’ve traveled as missionaries through South and Central America and East Africa. In this episode, they share incredible stories: galloping on horseback for eight hours a day in Patagonia’s wilderness, serving the poor in Brazil’s slums, preparing sermons to preach as a married couple, spontaneously saying "yes" to preach at a house church in Argentina, and how they managed to self-sustain their journey around the globe.
