In the early/mid 90’s the “Coffeehouse Culture” was alive and well.
Far from the ubiquitous presence it is now, Starbucks had just begun to
reach Southern California. Long before it had become ingrained into our
cultural tapestry, Starbucks began its baby steps across Los Angeles. We
worked together at what was the third Starbucks to open in Los Angeles:
the store in Studio City on the corner of Ventura Blvd and Vantage.
Working for Starbucks at this time was new, fresh, and exciting. . A time when we were young and when Starbucks was fun.
