Dodgers owner Mark Walter is under federal investigation for some of his insurance companies failing to report related transactions between companies each with ties to Walter. Walter has since sold the Lakers and his stake in Chelsea Football Club, but he insists the Dodgers are not for sale. We bring on Michael Elizondo, writer and associated editor at True Blue LA, to discuss what this all means for Walter and the Dodgers.  The Three-Inning Save is part of Bleav Network. The Oklahoma City Comets won the Pacific Coast League championship series and then won the Triple-A national championship game, capping off a productive season for Dodgers minor league affiliates. All four full-season affiliates made the postseason, and three levels saw Dodgers minor leaguers win league MVP – top prospect Josue De Paula in the Double-A Texas League, outfielder Charles Davalan in the High-A Midwest League, and first baseman Easton Shelton in the Class-A California League. In addition, Scott Hennessey in Triple-A, Eric Wedge in Double-A, and Jair Fernandez in Great Lakes all won manager of the year.  With De Paula making his major league debut in September and fellow top-100 prospect Mike Sirota reaching Triple-A in the final week-plus of the season, coupled with major-league-ready outfielders James Tibbs III and Zach Ehrhard already with Oklahoma City, the Dodgers have a lot of functional minor league depth they can tap into as needed in 2027. The Dodgers have one week left to play in the regular season, and a magic number of three to clinch a bye into the National League Division Series. They will get Shohei Ohtani, Andy Pages, and Roki Sasaki back off the injured list this week, all three of whom should figure prominently in their October plans. Items to watch is if Blake Snell (left groin discomfort) starts in San Francisco as a tuneup, what the plans are for Emmet Sheehan (starting or relieving) in October, does Josue De Paula have a spot on a postseason roster, and more. Josue De Paula, the Dodgers’ top prospect, has impressed in his big league debut, commanding the strike zone since getting promoted directly from Double-A Tulsa. De Paula got a runway of playing time with Shohei Ohtani placed on the injured list with right biceps inflammation, opening up designated hitter. We look back at Ohtani’s timeline of his slump since mid-August, the attempts to rest him and avoid the IL proving futile, plus how the Dodgers deferring to Ohtani may have exacerbated the situation. Plus, updates on the pitching scramble of the final two weeks, Emmet Sheehan the victim of the fresh arm express, Edgardo Henriquez getting injured, Kris Bubic due back soon and Edwin Díaz very much not. Plus timing on when Roki Sasaki might return. The Three-Inning Save is part of Bleav Network. Hosted by Eric Stephen and Jacob Burch, with questions from Craig Minami. Produced by Brian Salvatore. Shohei Ohtani missed two games in a row for just the second time as a Dodger, and the first since paternity leave for the birth of his first kid in April 2025.
