Roxy Striar & Tara Erickson revisit one of the most iconic horror sequels of the ’90s — Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)! Directed by Steve Miner (Friday the 13th Part II, Warlock), this slasher revival brought Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis – Halloween, True Lies) back to face her brother Michael Myers after two decades of silence. Living under a new identity as school headmistress Keri Tate, Laurie must confront her trauma head-on when The Shape returns for a deadly Halloween showdown.
The film also features a strong supporting cast including Josh Hartnett (The Faculty, Pearl Harbor) in his feature film debut as John Tate, Laurie’s son; Michelle Williams (Dawson’s Creek, Manchester by the Sea) as Molly; Adam Arkin (Chicago Hope, Sons of Anarchy) as Will Brennan; LL Cool J (Deep Blue Sea, NCIS: Los Angeles) as security guard Ronny; Jodi Lyn O’Keefe (She’s All That, Prison Break) as Sarah; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, 3rd Rock from the Sun) in a memorable early cameo.
Some of the most famous and highly searched moments include Laurie’s confrontation with Michael in the climactic face-off, the chilling school setting atmosphere, and the unforgettable ending with Laurie wielding an axe to seemingly end Michael’s reign of terror once and for all. Halloween H20 is celebrated for bringing Jamie Lee Curtis back into the franchise and modernizing Michael Myers for a new generation of horror fans.
