With the end of the public health emergency on the horizon, is it time to further adjust masking guidance in healthcare? This pro/con discussion will highlight the debate on whether to incorporate an updated standard for universal precautions in healthcare settings to permanently include universal masking in routine patient-care interactions or to refine a risk-based approach for patient care for masking.
