Karin ‘Mamma’ Andersson or simply Mamma Andersson as she’s more commonly known, is one of Sweden's most internationally-recognised visual artists.  With a career spanning over thirty years, Mamma is renowned for her technical prowess and nuanced exploration of such themes as memory, femininity and folklore - often depicted in melancholic landscapes and domestic interiors. She represented the Nordic Pavilion for the 50th Venice Biennale and her paintings are included in the permanent collections of such prestigious institutions as MoMA, New York and Centre Pompidou, Paris.
