I will share with you today a few of many Bible verses that confirm believers should avoid participating in fortune telling. 2 Kings 21:6 ESV And he burned his son as an offering and used fortune-telling and omens and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger. Revelation 22:15 ESV Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. Deuteronomy 18:10 ESV There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer. I shall proceed with more Bible verses that confirm believers should avoid participating in fortune telling. Acts 16:16-18 ESV As we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling. She followed Paul and us, crying out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation.” And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And it came out that very hour. Exodus 22:18 ESV “You shall not permit a sorceress to live. Micah 5:12 ESV And I will cut off sorceries from your hand, and you shall have no more tellers of fortunes; Deuteronomy 4:19 ESV And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven. Daniel 2:27 ESV Daniel answered the king and said, “No wise men, enchanters, magicians, or astrologers can show to the king the mystery that the king has asked, Leviticus 19:26 ESV “You shall not eat any flesh with the blood in it. You shall not interpret omens or tell fortunes. Isaiah 2:6 ESV For you have rejected your people, the house of Jacob, because they are full of things from the east and of fortune-tellers like the Philistines, and they strike hands with the children of foreigners. Before closing here are a few Bible verses to encourage believers on how to avoid participating in fortune telling Proverbs 3:5-7 ESV Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. James 1:5 ESV If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. #biblepodcast #thebible #biblequestionsandanswers #podcasting #necromancy #communicationwiththedead #fortunetelling
