5.1: Objectives. Buying tickets for public transportation.

Welcome to Unit 5 of the Live Lingua Spanish Podcast. If you're going to be traveling between cities in Spain or Latin America, chances are you're going to be using some kind of public transportation, whether it be buses, trains or planes. In this unit, we're going to work through some conversations on how to buy tickets for public transportation.

If you're asking for directions in Spanish, there's generally two things that can happen after they're given to you.  You can either say "thank you" and be on your way, or you can ask for a clarification. This 3rd episode covers cultural notes regarding directions, as specific to Latin American countries. You'll learn how to understand key differences and nuances between asking for directions in English and asking for directions in Spanish.
