In this episode, we look at 3 common ways sensitive, empathic humans are giving their power away. We also explore why “sacred rage” can be considered a form of spiritual bypassing, why borrowing other people’s pain is not the same as caring, and how right-sizing your responsibility will give you more presence, impact and relationship to your creative destiny.we discuss —(00:55) You actually need power to survive(02:28) Power Leak #1: Enmeshing with the collective, and mistaking news overwhelm for moral responsibility(04:56) Honoring your mortal limitations(11:51) Right-sizing your responsibility(14:13) Leak #2: Hyper-attuning to pain, prey experiences, and absorbing other people's emotions(17:23) Predator power does not equal perpetrator(26:05) Leak #3: Outrage and botheredness is not an act of service(31:05) The deathbed metric for what’s worth your time, energy and attentionIf you enjoyed the episode, check out —EP 232: 21 Signs You're Stuck in Good Girl ConsciousnessMentioned in the episode—Join the waitlist for MA 🌹Check out VIRGIN ($77 masterclass) 🐍Stay Connected —Subscribe to the podcastGrace’s linksGrace’s websiteJoin the newsletter 💌Send us a message! 💫Candlefire — a private fireside chat for this Equinox season 🕯️ Tune in.Underworld MAven — Learn the ropes, recipes, and symbols from the guides, guardians, lovers and pussy powerhouses. Transformation and trauma are not the same thing, and believing that is what’s keeping us locked out of the change we’re longing for.Drawing on years of embodied healing work, grace makes the case that change is the constant of life, and that meeting it well — instead of bracing against it, as if it were an attack — is actually what separates initiation from trauma. Grace traces this through the myths of Inanna and Persephone, the difference between behavior control and identity-level change, and why labeling every single discomfort as trauma leaves no one available to lead, create, or heal.we discuss —(00:33) why transformation is not the same as trauma(03:21) the difference between behavior modification and identity-level transformation that touches the soul and the body(07:20) why “the only constant is change” and the myths we’re taught about it(09:47) what happens when “everyone is traumatized,” and why that leaves no one left to be the leader, the shepherd, or the lighthouse(19:12) Inanna and Persephone as examples or sovereign initiation and empowered underworld experiences(25:16) the difference between a dysregulation pattern and actual trauma(31:24) the underworld can only be entered, not solvedIf you enjoyed the episode, check out —Initiation Deficit : Part 1 🐦‍🔥Initiation Deficit : Part 2 🎒Learning with Uncertainty w/ Narinder Bazen 🥀the Mother in the Dark w—Clark Strand 🌌Mentioned in the episode—Join the waitlist for MA 🌹Check out VIRGIN ($77 masterclass) 🐍Send us a message! 💫Candlefire — a private fireside chat for this Equinox season 🕯️ Tune in.Underworld MAven — Learn the ropes, recipes, and symbols from the guides, guardians, lovers and pussy powerhouses. “Good Girl” consciousness isn’t a personality trait. It’s actually a rigid, self-righteous construct. It’s a way you’re trying to feel safe, loved and worthy; but truly it kills your desire, alienates you from others, diminishes your creativity and inhibits intimacy. In this episode, grace breaks down how the most common signs the good girl programming are running your nervous system, your relationships, and even your business. She traces where the programming comes from, why it often collapses into martyrdom or control, and what it takes to trade goodness for a more pleasurable, wild wholeness instead. We discuss —(0:33) what good girl consciousness is — a pattern in your nervous system and a paradigm about how the world works(6:55) not feeling “good enough” to want what you want(8:36) being rigid about everyone else’s behavior and beliefs(12:41) believing it’s your job to save others, and resenting those who aren’t trying to “save the world”(15:39) the real point of a spiritual practice is not being a good person(19:34) driven by the fear of being misunderstood and performing so people won’t leave you(33:41) the suffering artist story surrounding your gifts(40:02) pride in hyperindependence and the fear of “wanting too much”If you enjoyed the episode, check out —finding your true Gift 🎁RIP Good Girl 🪦from Judgement to Mystery 🌀Beyond Good & Bad 💫Mentioned in the episode—Join the waitlist for MA 🌹Check out VIRGIN ($77 masterclass) 🐍Send us a message! 💫Candlefire — a private fireside chat for this Equinox season 🕯️ Tune in.Underworld MAven — Learn the ropes, recipes, and symbols from the guides, guardians, lovers and pussy powerhouses.
