For instance, the European Union had also set a goal to be climate-neutral by 2050, and aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels.Meanwhile, the United States under the Biden administration had committed to reducing its net greenhouse gas emissions by 50-52 percent below 2005 levels by 2030.
