#545 Chris Hadfield

Episode 545 Chris Hadfield is a First Class Father and Astronaut. He is also a former fighter pilot and author of a new book “THE APOLLO MURDERS”. He has flown in space three times and is the first Canadian to walk in space. Chris has served as commander of the International Space Station. He became the commander of the International Space Station as part of Expedition 35, responsible for a crew of five astronauts and helping to run dozens of scientific experiments dealing with the impact of low gravity on human biology. He spent 166 days in space and almost 15 hours outside of the spacecraft. Prior to his career as an astronaut, Hadfield served in the Canadian Forces for 25 years as an Air Command fighter pilot. He has been described by Forbes as "perhaps the most social media savvy astronaut ever to leave Earth" and his exchanges with William Shatner and other Star Trek actors have received media coverage. In this Episode, Chris shares his Fatherhood journey which includes three children. He discusses how he prepared to leave earth as father to ensure his family would be taken care of in the event something went wrong.
