These so-called “wind farms” are much larger and do much more environmental damage than most people realize. Covering an area the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined, one project off the Mid-Atlantic poses an existential risk to the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale. That is just one of many ocean mammals harassed and killed by these projects that will, at best, provide unreliable and expensive energy. Dr. Matthew Wielicki has had a heck of a year, voluntarily leaving academia when he found the pursuit and promotion of knowledge was being subverted by an effort to enforce consensus on researchers. Nowhere is this more evident than in the field of climate change. He now refers to himself as "earth science professor in exile." Recently he has written about why "global average temperature," is a poor metric for climate change, and how poorly conducted, alarming climate research is being heralded by the media, and not being called out by scientists -- all in an effort to motivate climate action which will rob our children of their money, freedom, and mental health.

A recent study by Jack McPherrin from Heartland explores how state legislatures, in adopting provisions of the Universal Commercial Code, have enabled "too big to fail" banks to seize the private retirement accounts of both individuals and institutional investors during times of crisis.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is trying to become a climate regulator. It has proposed forcing companies under its regulatory purview, and even those outside of its direct authority, to take climate change seriously. The proposals would force SEC regulated companies, and those in their supply chains, to report how climate change will effect their operations, their emissions, and how they are responding to shifts in weather.
