Ep. 142 - Asim Raja, DPM, FACFAS - Leader/Fellowships/Military
Dean’s Chat hosts Drs. Jeffrey Jensen and Johana Richey are joined by Dr. Asim Raja. Dr. Raja brings a wealth of experience, including military service, and being a residency director. His passion for podiatric medicine and surgery brought repeated opportunities to train, including the completion of 2 fellowships.
Dr. Raja is currently the Service Chief, Podiatric Surgery Department of Surgery at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. Prior to this position, he was the Chief, Podiatry Service, Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation, at Womack Army Medical Center, in Fort Bragg, NC.
Dr. Raja is board-certified by both ABFAS and ABPM. His fellowship training included the following: Orthopaedic Podiatric Research and Surgical Fellowship, Duke University Medical Center under the leadership of fellowship director, Dr. Michael Kerzner. He also completed the Orthoplastic Microsurgical Limb Reconstruction & Deformity Correction Traveling Fellowship Chicago Foot and Ankle Deformity Correction Center.
