Looking beyond the liquid, Jim and Jackie created the Craft Beer Marketing Awards (CBMAs) to recognize the art behind the beer. Craft beer lovers and marketing gurus themselves, it wasn't difficult to know that this was needed within the craft beer industry.
Meet Jim and Jackie
Starting in the marketing field decades ago, Jim has long since been a fan of craft beer, and it made sense to jump into the craft beer marketing niche. Jackie has been in marketing for over ten years and has also been a long-time craft beer fan. When the two first met over a hops account, the magic of beer took over. Creating a plan on a napkin, the Craft Beer Marketing Awards were born, and as they say, "The rest is history!" Or maybe it's better to say, "They crushed it!"
What are the Craft Beer Marketing Awards?
Started in 2019, the Craft Beer Marketing Awards filled a gap within the craft beer awards world. The beer was awarded but what about everything else that makes this liquid our beloved beer?
Think about it this way, when faced with a decision of what IPA to purchase out of a zillion different IPAs whether at the liquor store or a taproom, how do you decide which one to drink? Or as Jim likes to say, "What draws you into the beer when you're faced with the war at the cooler door?"
That's what Jim and Jackie want to award, those designers, marketers, and creators that draw you into the beer or the brewery in the first place. The taprooms, the beer podcasts, the guerilla marketing campaigns, the unique flight presentations, the social media sites, the websites, the bottle and can designs, and so much more. The people behind the beer art crush it just like the brewers do, so let's award and recognize them for that...with a Crushie!
How to Enter
While you cannot yet nominate your favorite people or places, if you are involved in any kind of craft beer marketing, design, or creation, you can enter yourself or your brewery into one or more of the 40 categories of competition.
